Americain Warplanes, part1 from peace to war

Turning Academy 1/48 Coirsair show plane into a fearless fighter.

My Bro did a nice paint job, but I what this plane to be my first good made model, since I got it on my trip to new york, here’s what I’ve done so far.

Frist I use advantage of the alumium paint the plane already had and cover the rest of the unpainted area, I’ll use the salt weatehring for chip paint.

Unlike the other planes the cockpit is painted and detail as best that I can, useing a toothpit to paint the buttons and control panel, the seatbelt is syren sheet and masking tape.

and set up the window, the canopy is close since to protect the interieur, fortunatly futur floor wax will clear the window.

Next up, the salt, comments are welcome.

Nice! I’m guessing this is a restoration project? How old is your brother?

He’s almost 18, he’s really good at painting, he’s has made a few models (a japenies plane, fulck wolf plane and a modern helicopter) but unlike me he’s not into them that much, he always like to cotumis a unique paint design, as if they were show plane. This plane I ask him to do, but now I want to make it better.

Please continue comment.

Re-doing a finished model is sometimes more difficult than simply building a new kit. Good luck with the profect.
