i just purchased my first Alpine figure and was wondering what I need to know about building/painting it. Thanks alot in advance for all the help.
First scrub the lil bugger with something like Simple Green or good ordinary dish soap and water. There will be some form of mold release on the resin, which can inhibit the paint.
Carefully cut off mold blocks, some though will be beneficial in handling the piece while painting. Each figgy is different.
Prime prime prime. Acrylic like Vallejo doesn’t stick too well to bare resin. I like plain old flat white from a spray can. Pick and choose your own poison. [:D]
I like to put as much together as possible, unless arms and legs interfere with the painting. I leave the accessories, canteen, backpack etc., off until they’re painted then later attach them.
Just have at it, and have fun.
