So who says Aliens just want to invade us? They just want to race!
This is my first real model in 20 years and my first ever diorama. It’s also my first real attempt at weathering and only my second attempt at painting figures. I’m happy with how it turned out given I’m a total hack.
I had the UFO and didn’t know what to do with so while doing a GIS I found this build:

It was too funny so I hijacked the idea.
I did an arm swap on the mechanic in the foreground. His left arm is from a figure I didn’t use. I had to sculpt the back a bit. Never did that before but I think it looks okay.
The wash to add shadow didn’t turn out very well, but fortunately the coveralls are dark so it’s hard to tell anyway. 
The mechanic on the left got his head chopped so I could put the hat on. The hat belonged to another figure that didn’t get used. That was first too: labotomy! Guess I should note that the UFO is from Pegasus (Alpha Centauri short range UFO) and the figures are Tamiya Mechanic Rally Set, which has been discontinued.

The Millennium Falcon’s got nothin’ on this baby! The decals are the dry scratch type used on pinewood models. Picked them up at my LHS.
“See, it’s your modulator”. Yeah, the alien is actually naked but he just didn’t look interesting enough so I gave him a bright orange “g suit” of sorts.
I’m happy overall with the weathering. I kept is fairly light because I was worried I’d overdo it.

Well, that’s it. It was fun to build and overall I’m pleased. It’s good be back into the hobby again. My three kids all want to build models now so fortunately I bought two of the UFO kits (it comes with two) so now that I’m done they can start theirs.
