Alan makes some interesting subjects: Marder IID, Bison II, Bison I, sIG 33, Sdkfz 140/1, Flakpanzer 38 (t), Pz II ausf C, Wespe.
Their draw is that often, they are the only game in town (at least in 1/35 injection plastic). However, the detail is soft. Generally accurate (except for some huge slams on the Marder IID) and the kits, once built, resemble the real things.
You aren’t going to get DML/Tamiya/AFV Club like quality in any sense of the word, however.
the only kit ive done of theres so far is the sIG33 and i was happy with the result as said above they do require a tad more work but i would definatly get another.these are the only pics i have and they are a bit dark but you get a general idea.
I building the Pz I ausf F right now. All the alan tank kits have indy links. The “notches” in the Pz I ausf F links all have to be filed out or they don’t fit on the front sprocket correctly. However Fruil makes a set if you want to buy that instead and eduard makes PE. That goes for all the alan kits I’m pretty sure. Personally I like the alan kits. The plastic is slightly soft and sands/glues well.
I have a number of Alan kits in my collection and I find them to be quite good overall. Like other members have stated, do not expect Tamiya or Dragon quality. I approach these kits more or less the same way I would a short run kit. If you give them a lot of TLC and extra detail you can produce a showstopper!
