ajlafleche-The styrene strips worked -Another question if you dont mind

For now I’ve decided to clean Frankie up a bit. The lower torso appears unpainted. Its gray color styrene and most of it is pretty clean. I like this color and want to leave this section unpainted. Please advise the best way to remove the little paint and glue marks on him (see picture) . I will re-paint his belt soaking it in easy off oven cleaner to strip off the old paint (not sure what color can of easy off to use, please also advise or maybe should I just use the castrol super clean). I need to be very careful as not to blemish or ruin the plastic but simply clean it up. Thanks.

I decided to paint it after all. I will paint it gray. I still need to know the best method for removing the paint marks and glue before I prime it. This will alow me to have a real smooth primed finish before I begin painting. Please tell me if this is correct? Thanks…

In the first picture, you have three distinct areas, the large textured area at the bottom, a straight edged line thet almost looks like a belt and a much smoother area then the bottom thah has a fabric like effect and in the bottom there are two, the textured bottom anf the smooth secton above the “welds”. If the smooth parts are not going to be covered by another part, I’d simply sand everything as smooth as that which wiould remove both paint and glue marks.
If you want to kee the texture, spot sand the paint and glue then soften the surface using liquid cement and stiple this with a stiff, short brush to regain the textured effect.

What grade of sandpaper I should use for spot sanding?

400-600 should do the trick.
