Airtruk model

Has any company ever made a model kit of the Transavia PL-12 Airtruk. It’s an airplane I have always wanted to build, especially after seeing a couple of them at Oshkosh.

Unfortunately I don’t know of any plastic or resin kits for any ag planes, Thrush, Air Tractor, AG Cat, Dromader etc. I guess you could say there is one if you include the Steerman PT-17 but that wasn’t its original purpose.

Good luck, the Airtruk is a neat little airplane, if you find one I’d like to know who makes it.

Here’s the only one I’ve seen, but it’s a card model:

I’ve been looking for a model of the Airtruk for about 30 years. So far, nothing except a wooden display model That I believe was from the Phillipines. Not exactly what I wanted but I may have no choice but to get one some day and try to repaint it into this:

It’s not something that I’m looking forward to.

If you do happen to come across a kit, please let us know.

Well, it’s been a while since you expressed interest (an understatement). And in that time we now have 3D printing available, as I’m sure you’re aware.
I’ve been after an Airtruk since Beyond Thunderdome, and now I have one. (WIP)
Check it out on FaceBook, search ‘ Mad Max vs the Humungus ‘.

That’s a really cool and unusual aircraft model! I was thinking someone like Modelsvit would release a 1/72 model kit of it, as they seem to delight in the weird and esoteric.

For those of us not on the Farcebook, how did you build yours? And what scale is it? It looks to be large scale, like 1/24.
