anyone know happen to know how to achieve that dark aluminum looking color thats on airlines?
ive noticed its like a dull gray aluminum, not a silvery colored, but more greyish looking. How would i simulate that?

I think the grey parts are actually composites. Unless I misundrstood. [:)]
Not into building airliner but the comment about composites may have some merit. Here is a shot I took and my last vacation. Composites? Painted aluminum?
