Does any body know of any aftermarket upgrades for airfixs short sunderland because mine has distorted and scratched clear parts and is in need of some extra detail.
G’day stuka_69 have you tryed e-mailing airfix to see if they can replace the warped parts . And you can get replacement canopys from squadron and several PE update sets which you can get from WEM as well . there has been a bit of a descusion in if it float and flys group build check it out there are some great links to some great sites.
Replacment canopys can be ordered from squadron the short sutherland canopy astrodome and nose,dorsal,and the tail turret …stock number SQ9192…

There’s been a couple of build articles posted over at www.hyperscale.com based on the Airfix kit since the WEM photoetch sets came out for it. The builds are quite nice and prove that despite the age of the kit, it can still be a jaw dropper.
Wow I didn’t know that there was so much possible detail that could go into this kit thanks for the referance.
