Hi again fellow modellers. Here is a completed build that I have been working on from the dinning room table over the last 3 months as opposed to the comfort of my mancave workshop which is presently sub zero and out of action - hence no airbrush and the extra TLC on this build. I bought this kit for no real reason but while building it, fell in love with the VC10 - a few aftermarket options were used such as the frsin resin engines and 26 Decals to give the model a little more life however during the process of the build, I became aware that the RAF had several variants (C-K) of their VC-10s and that what comes out of the Airifx box needs a lot of modification to be one or tother - so I guess I have build an “Inbetweener” here. Please enjoy - if you want me to post better pictures, let me know and I will bring my camera to work. Click on any picture to take you to the master - PS fish tank filter wool makes good clouds…
Nice work, for an inbetweener it sure came out well
Really nice rendition of the lovely, speedy & sadly now retired Vickers Funbus. The hoses really give it the finishing touch!
Cool build!
Well done.
Very nice! Got one waiting to be built but missing an engine part somehow. Don’t support you kept or need yours do ya?
Hi there - yes I have 2 sets of the Airfix engines you can have, including spare undercarriage pylons and wheels - drop me an email with your delivery address and I will send them john.leah@caeuk.com
Thanks again for the spares John. Now I can start on my British Caledonian VC-10 after I finish my BC 747-200. Such a nice livery. The VC-10 sure is a beautiful airplane. I think I’m going to try to find this scheme for my Vickers Viscount kit as well.
