Airfix 1/72 Spitfire F Mk.22, Post War Thoroughbred

Airfix’s new mould 1:72 Spitfire F Mk.22 is about a fine a kit as any on the market today.

Fine detail, almost perfect fit and an exceptionally low price make all combine together to ensure a fantastic build experience.

I only added a seat cushion made from plasticard and an Eduard pre-painted PE harness set. Apart from that, this build was out of the box. With quality like this, I certainly intend to buy more of the new mould Airfix kits.

Wholeheartedly Recommended.

Very very nice!!! She’s a real looker!!! Keep up the good work!

Thanks

Stunning!

1/72 scale my hind quarters![:P]

This falls into the rare group “it looks bigger”. Well done sir.

I have to agree. It’s hard to believe that is 1/72nd scale. Impressive!

Congrats on a fine build. [t$t] Photo work really good too.

Stunning build, nice to see Airfix have upped their game. Great work.

Very nice. I’ve never built an Airfix kit. Are their 1/48 offerings in the same league as far as quality goes?

Have to agree with Marc on this one, definitely looks larger than 72nd. Very nicely done Spitfire!

the same as any other manufacturer they have gems and they have donkeys

this 1 is a gem (iv just hacked of them up lol)

this is a cracking build too

Really like this one! Looks good for any scale, and the paint scheme is a refreshing change from all the camo jobs out there. [Y]

lovely

Thanks everyone. I picked up a couple more Airfix 1/72 kits last week including the new release Vampire T-11.
