Airfix 1:72 Sopwith Pup ( A Pup for Christmas)

Just finished this one in time to hang on the Christmas tree. I have to find the CG point and add a brass loop so as to attach a hook and to the tree it goes. I haven’t built many 1/72 kits. Thought it would be a cool tradition of building a new Christmas ornament every year.

Thanks for looking and Merry Christmas all.

Thank you for the comments, Mrb865 The prop was really bothering me so I broke out a #11 scalpel some 600, 800 and 1200 sand paper and began reshaping the prop. Did I mention that it was still glued to the engine while doing this. It would have been way easier to do before attaching. If I had a nickel for every time I did something like this… it hasn’t made it to the tree yet

A quick photo of the reworked prop.

Ahoy Mobious. I thought it was great before. But it now goes into the “above and beyond” category. Well done and Merry Christmas to you.

Great looking build. Post a pic when it’s on the tree - that’s a fantastic idea.

Beautiful work. The highlighting of the frames under the linen, the rigging, the lovely weathering, what’s not to love. Beautiful work.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I officially didn’t make the 2025 Family Christmas tree. I did make the 2025 Mobious Studios Christmas tree.
