Since I missed the P-40 special. I thought maybe I can sneak in my Revell P-47D, funny I finished this kit a couple of years ago but never took any images of it until today. For it’s age and raised panel lines, the Revell kit is still very good and fits rather well. It is a simple build but it is still an impressive model.
This is a P-47D, one of Zemke’s P-47’s he flew in. Painted in British Dk Green/Ocean Grey over Neutral Grey. What is really nice when doing a P-47, is that there are several colorful schemes available, not just OD/N.Grey or Bare Metal finishes that are found on most of the other USAAC A/C of the time.
Amazingly with Academy,Hasegawa and Tamiya with excellent kits out and about, this is still the only P-47 I have. Time to get a few more.

This one’s for ajthomas. Adam, I’ve been looking at the photos of your P-47. I really like the way you’ve mounted it with the wire. Will you tell me how to do that? I’m working on a pair of models that’ll be mounted up in the air like that if I can figure out how to do it without tearing them up. Thanks in advance! Aaron
Sheesh I guess I,m a little late, but here’s my Jug.

cheers,
