I’ve got a Badger Renegade Krome. Worked great till I started cleaning it. Now I’m ready to throw it in the bin! Latest problem is no paint coming out and bubbling in the cup. I have cleaned it endlessly and I would say thoroughly, watched videoes on assembly / disassembly, cleaned it again. No matter how far I have the needle in or out, still no paint comes through. There is no Manufacturer help available. I really don’t understand why it’s not working.
Does someone know what is going on? Really appreciate the help please.
I own a krome and it has been great for me. You can send it back with a check for $12.00 to cover postage and they will either service or replace it. Badger has a great warranty. You didn’t say the needle nozzle set you have installed so I am not sure which you have. It should have come with a 022 and a 035 so you can use the other one for now. But either way I clean thoroughly with lacquer thinner when I have an issue and it always works. Spray through the thinner, soak the nozzle in it, use a bit of thinner also while gently pushing the needle through the nozzle until there is flow. If this fails, contact Badger and they will handle it. My Krome, Patriot 105 and Sotar are great and if I keep them fully clean after every use I don’t have a problem. I have tried most major manufacturers and Badger is best and most reliable. I have also utilized their warranty service and it is perfect. Use the Badger regdab needle lube too on the needle for easier cleaning and better performance. You can find it at Amazon. A bottle will last years. please follow up and let us know what happens. The needle has to match the nozzle and tip. It has no bearing on cleaning or regdab. The only wat to not get paint out the front if air comes through is a blockage. If it is a blockage, it can be removed. You really can’t break it. It always is a cleaning issue or the tip is split or the needle doesn’t pull back. If you ger air through it has to be needle, nozzle or clog.

Get one of these. This is the one I have. Makes cleaning a snap. I have a Patriot 105 and a Sotar 20/20. I break down each airbrush and clean them one at a time in lacquer thinner. Then re-assemble the airbrush dabbing each part with Badger Needle Juice. Both airbrushes perform flawlessly. The cleaner is $30 - $40 on Amazon and worth every nichol.
I had the opposite problem with my Sotar 20/20. When I received it in the mail, I hooked it up to my compressor loaded it with paint and went to spray to see how fine of a line I could spray. I set the needle to spray small lines, pulled the trigger and got a HUGE splatter of paint on the paper I was spraying on. After further investigation, I discovered when the airbrush was shipped from the factory, the fine needle was installed but the larger tip was installed. after swapping tips, it sprayed great.
I see you are in Australia and the shipping will be not be cheap but Badger has one hell of a fantastic customer service. My Renegade started acting up and I sent it to them for repairs. It turned out it had an internal crack and it was replaced with a new one.
I wonder if Badger has a relationship with a service business in Australia, maybe even someone that sells Badger equipment. If so, they might bail you out with some help.
Might be worth a call to Badger to find out, personally I have found them to be extremely helpful and responsive to questions. Ultimately professional staff. Good luck with getting it sorted.
