I finally got the leak in my air compressor fixed, now on to the Badger 150 airbrush. I have determined that air is leaking from the valve assembly. Should I try to get a new one, easy from Badger. or just get a new one as this is a flea market find that I have been fooling around with. Also, the braided air hose leaks where it attaches to the airbrush, fixable or get new one? If new, what is the best way to go?
Thanks,
Mike
I’ll only tackle the question on the air hose. Depends on what is causing the link. Badger hoses are generally pretty robust. The one on my 200 is over forty years old and it is my original hose! I’d disconnect it, clean both fittings and reassemble, with some grease or teflon tape. If it is indeed the hose-to-connector area, then you may indeed need a new hose.
If the air valve assembly itself is leaking, contact Badger and arrange to send it in and have it serviced. All Badger airbrushes carry a lifetime labour warranty and you will only be charged for parts where replacement may be required.
