Air trapped under decals

Goodday all!! New to the site…

Recently (almost) finished Academy’s 1/72 Airacobra ‘Russian Ace’. Very happy with Academy, but, ran into something I haven’t seen in years. The ‘victories’ stars on the left front fuselage was a two decal overlay. The white stars first followed by redstars overtop to give a red star with a white border look. Well, worked good but even using Microsol I still got air trapped underneath. Any advise on going back to get the air out of dried Microsol set decals??

Welcome to the forum, Grandmoffrob.

You can carefully pierce the bubble with a sharp pin or the very tip of a brand-new #11 blade. You can then apply your decal solution to the area so that it runs into the bubble.
