For all those who miss snow come and take all you want about 2-1/2 to 3 feet in the last week.
Nah!!! you can keep it BTW where are you, I moved south to get away from it
Had 19.3 inches of snow just yesterday around Chicago area.
Vance in Canada getting hit harder than that.[:S]
Maybe we can all move in with Manny till this snow is finished.[whstl]
Keep it. I’ve got my fill today.
Another reason to love Dixie!
Connecticut. Got 16 yesterday. Supposed to get more Thursday. Don’t know how much
It’s February,it’s supposed to snow.
We’re 9 below zero! If my car starts I’m off to Charleston. Someday.
AMEN TO THAT!!!
Gee, two-three INCHES is bad enough- two-three FEET!?! We got about two-three millimeters here in Virginia which was fine by me.
Still if I survive to retire in twenty/twenty-five years from now maybe I’ll move to Florida- anyone want to go in together and buy an alligator farm???
I got to stop bringing coffee to the 'puter. Kitty has me cleaning up now, and trying to get it out of my nose.
Brutal winter for the East coast. We are going into the rainy season time to put the skis away…
Heh - the trouble with southerners is they go into full panic mode over 2 inches of snow. They rush to supermarkets to stock up on bananas, water, and toilet tissues. In upstate NY where I live, we drive fast and die hard in snow storms. Kinda like “Hold my coffee and watch this” mentality. ROFL!!!
Yeah, we got 6 inches a year ago and everything shut down for 4 days…but it keeps me in plastic fixing what gets bent on the roads…(autobody tech)
Why do they always show Home Depot running out of shovels ? what do people do,use them once and throw them out ?
Probably forgot what corner of the basement they threw it into. I know as a kid I got tired of using one.
That’s funny! [:D]
Good gosh yeah- every time the weather guy mentions the word ‘snow’ here everyone rushes out to clean out the supermarkets of all the bread and milk! Gee whiz, all the snow and ice will be melted and gone in a week tops- you’re probably not going to stave to death in that time!
I admit I can’t drive on ice, no practice at all so other than trying to make it to work I don’t even try. Yeap, it’s a great time for modeling, books, DVDs etc…
Find a big empty parking lot (try Home Depot after they sell out of shovels) and play a little. Had the wife do that when they bought her a new front drive car for her courier route at the hospital. She had never driven a front driver. Most people then would take their foot out of it when they started to slide and it would swap ends before they could event think about it. Told her to roll up the pantleg past the knee and stand on it. All the weight was on the driving wheels and the only thing the tail could do was follow the nose. Drive it out of a slide.
Very gentle on the brakes as necessary and the same with throttle.
Very good advice Goldhammer! Last car I slide out of the road on ice I did exactly that, took my foot off the gas and when the rear end started swinging around experimentally tapped the brake. Bad idea…
Of course me buying a practical car like your wife’s would help instead of another muscle car with rear-wheel drive and awful traction might help too!
I still like my idea of moving to Florida and opening a gator farm though- I can see myself hobbling around on two prosthetic legs waving my hook- '‘Yeah, glad I moved down here, all that snow and ice up north is dangerous, much safer down here- OMG THAT GATOR JUST BIT OFF MY GOOD HAND- I NEED IT FOR MODELING!!!’
