I’m doing my first helicopter model, the AH-1W. I curious what color I should paint the exhaust hooyah ( I don’t know what it’s called) that comes out of the engine nacelle.
A burnt metal color. Start with an aluminum color, drybrush with some gunmetal (black-silver mix), drybrush with some rust color, wash with a dark wash and coat with dullcoat to remove shine. Finally, lightly drybrush high areas with some aluminum.
