hi polak… maybe its time for you to try scratchbuilding… use some clear styrene or even those clear boxes they used on those christmas balls displayed on the stores… just an idea, hope to ease your feeling bro… happy New year to us all!!!
I’ve done already three attempts but the problem for me is to fix clear styrene to the frame, various glues were tested as well. Anyway thanx for reply, maybe after some time some new idea will come to my head:)
Have you tried to therma-form another. I’d use a bit of thin CA to fill in the crack, sand it smooth and buff it, then do the therma-form. It’ll be super thin, but you could add some framing to it, to strengthen it.
i have the same problem with a two seater viper canopy… very particular… anyways i was wondering about filling the cracks with CA and dipping the whole thing in floor polish to give it an even finish… or maybe even just dip it in floor polish to see if that would fill in the cracks…
I have used the Clear Plastic glue from Testors to fill in cracks in past. run it in the seam then sand and polish it. Then dip it in some future. The crack should be invisable. Good luck.
