I finally finished this mojo killer. In addition to the kit parts I used R-Model tracks, Eureka tow cables and the Legends IDF stowage kit. Paint is Tamiya and Vallejo.

I have another AFV Club kit in the stash and for some reason an Amusing Hobby Sho’t Kal but I think the Amusing Hobby Cent AVRE with the ERA is in line first.

The TC figure really does sell the scale — the Centurion is a big, roomy machine, and it never quite reads that way until something human is next to it. I’m curious how the AFV Club Sho’t Kal went together in the tedious stretch you mentioned; was it the running gear or the turret details? Your plan to do the Amusing Hobby Cent AVRE with ERA next makes sense, since the ERA arrays should give a very different look from the Gimel.
I got a little burnt on the small parts on the hull. While the detail is/was excellent, the plastic is fragile and soft and my normal fine files left “grain” and actual lines. I used the edge of a blade and MEK to smooth a lot of stuff. By the time I got to the turret I was either numb to it or accepting and seemingly breezed through it.
I’m looking forward to the AVRE. I’ve built one Amusing Hobby Cent and it’s more like a Tamiya kit. I will have to substitute road wheels as AH missed the ribs. I have some Friul Hushpuppy tracks and it should have a unique look.
