Aftermarket coil-over shocks or how do I do my own?

I have been looking for aftermarket coil-over shocks or parts to make them and haven’t run across any. Does anyone make them?

How about making my own? It looks relatively simple; just cut the top and bottom the the kit shock off and stick spring inbetween. Well, it is slighty more involved.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Stuart

Hey Stuart, check this and see if it helps - ScaleWiki - Make Shock

Great link there Jim. I might have to try that myself.

Glad I could possibly help… [tup]

Yeah, Scale Auto October 2004 had an article on scratchbuilt shocks. Pretty much the same info…[8D]

Hey Stuart, you might want to check out racingminiatures.com They have some coil-overs that Perfect Parts market. Could be useful

Same idea.

Some of the cheap ballpoint pens have springs that are close to the size needed if tyou are doing 1:25 scale cars and trucks.
