Meng’s Russian “Terminator” Fire Support Combat Vehicle BMPT - by “Art Instructor”
(This kit contains so many parts that the box is so thick. AI told me that Meng’s tracks are state-of-the-art track, 5 parts per one track link! Luckily they snap together and it was his wife who assembled them):
PS. I got two new kits today - Takom’s German Civilian Car w/ Gas Rockets and Trumpeter’s Soviet S-51 SP Gun. They’re my 3rd and 4th kits bought this year. So little, gotta get some more!
Thanks for your comments, Kenny. The answer is in my latest comments in “Ships” Forum. I used the same lens but different mode. You made me think I should take them pictures all over again and replace them.
I enjoy checking out your submissions for all the different types of vehicles, but in the current state of things and not being over critical because I know we’re here just for the love of what we do, I don’t think it’s a good time to show any type of Soviet missile launcher. I’m not being political, I’m just saying that a lot of aircraft are being shot down including a lot of very innocent people who were blown from the sky with these types of weapons just a few short days ago. I think their AFV’s and artillery pieces are interesting and plan on a couple Soviet builds in the future but everything in it’s own time.
Again, I don’t want to come off as critical and maybe this should be in a different Forum, but a lot of people all over this world are sensitive right now because of these pieces of equipment.
Really??? It is just a plastic model. Secondly, it is an anti-tank launcher, not even ADA. If it upsets you, don’t look at it. Does it upset you to look at a car model? More people die in car accidents every year than being shot down by ADA systems.
Terry, sorry for your misunderstanding and feelings. I don’t feel like you do because I know there’s no relation between the Terminator and the MH17 which was reportedly shot down by SA-11 “Buk”. I don’t think the 2x 30mm 2A42 guns can shoot 33,000 ft. or 10 kms up in the sky, let alone the four 9M133 “Kornet” (NATO reporting name AT-14 Springgan) anti-tank missiles.
gunnerm, you asked if this is Meng’s kit, yes, it is. You probably didn’t read my post, I did mention that it’s Meng’s kit, and that the Terminator’s tracks contain 5 parts for each track link. If there are 100 links per side, then total parts for tracks alone = 5x100x2 = 1,000 parts! This is such a beautiful and very detailed kit that I might get another one and have it painted differently - in Russia Arms Expo 2013 desert strip camo.
