This will be my first armor build, the 1/48 Sd.Kfz.250/3 Greif by Tamiya. I’ve read that The Afrika Korps covered their vehicles in mud and sand, how do you replicate that? Thanks in advance,

Rommel’s half track operated in the Western desert. I believe its mud/sand was more beige than what I did. I replicated the mud-smeared camo of US vehicles in the Tunisia terrain which had a definite greyish tint to the earth. However, I used the Tamiya Weathering powders (the one that looks like a make up kit).

Wow! That’s really nice work! Yes, I have that Tamiya weathering set, I bought it for my aircraft builds. I bought 1/48 scale armor because of my 1/48 aircraft, but I don’t see much offered in that scale. Thank you very much and I’ll check out your AMPS website.
