AEF Designs Update- Great Customer Service

Once again, I have to thank AEF and their customer service. After e-mailing some T-55 pics to Tony there, he recommended an update kit of theirs and I bought it. When I got it, I found one part was not what I needed. Apparently, the part I needed was from a different AEF kit. I asked him if I should return it and he said he would just send me the correct part out. Great customer service.

Glad it worked out for you, but this story does appear to confirm many of the quality control issues that AEF Designs is noted for.

Actually in this case, it was more of a miscommunication between the owner and me. I showed him pictures of the reear deck, showing open cold-weather hatches and told him that is what I needed. He recommended a kit that had the hatches, but they were molded on closed. Apparently there is another kit that has them open instead, so that deckhat he is sending me

hey guy’s, could you please pass along their web address thanks

Yeah, the particulars of this transaction aside, I’ve heard such horror stories about miscast parts and “update” sets that are actually poor representations of what they are supposed to be making more accurate that I have never dared to actually buy anything from them, though I’m very interested in some of the things they make.

I think that the items I have recieved have been better by and large than Verlindens stuff.
