Advice on 2 kits

Has anybody built the Ecsi/Ertl 1/35 T-72, how good is it, is it accurate?

and [yuck]

Has anyone heard of a model company called “Income” who apparently make a 1/35 M-29 Weasel, is it any good? accurate? or is a re-box of the old monogram kit?

Esci T-72 is pretty bad and innacurate. It was made from some blurry pics taken of T-72s in the early '80s, before we had access to Soviet vehicles. As such, there are many inaccuracies in it. The Dragon one is better, but still off. Tamiya’s T-72 is the best of the bunch, but I believe its turret is still not correct either.

Never heard of Income Models. It is probably a rebox of the old Blue Tank/Monogram M29, which isn’t that bad of a kit and has lots of possibilities. It can be made into a nice piece.

I had never heard of “Income” models either, but it has turned up on e-bay.

Think the Weasel is the old Monogram kit, does make a nice build with minimal work

I built this kit about 15years ago, it was pure crap then and is pure crap now. Try the Tamiya offering with a blast models turret. I was shown this turret set by a friend and its pure gold.

I’m assuming you are refering to the Esci/Ertl T-72? If so, concur.

The best use of the Ecsi/Ertl T72 is as a battle wreck!!! Stephen (Loneeagle48) Corzette
