I spent 270 Hrs on this 1/72 diorama : The OV-10A Bronco is ICM, the OH-6 Cayuse is Italeri with a few scratchbuilt enhancements, The Universal Pod is
the old Revell kit part of the CH-54 of which I completed the interior (not much to be seen, unfortunately). I scratchbuilt the soft tank and added a few figures from Reskit and Germania figuren.
Nice work. Thats a tight little diorama.
This is a cool diorama, especially with the body of work in such a small scale. Very well done. My pet peeve (2 cents) is the background pic, especially since you put the location as the Mekong Delta along with hills in the background. Although at the entrance to the Song Sai Gon (Saigon River) there are high ground hills nearby. All in all, this is a good, busy diorama.
great little diorama. That helo looks so small compared to the Skymaster!
Wow, Iām planning to do something kind of similar in 1/48th scale that is inspired by the box art on the joint base kit.
This is most impressive and 270 hours sounds really daunting.
A terrific effort! I have a few ideas for a larger scale diorama than I can accomodate in my usual 1/35 scale. I would like to attempt 1/72 scale but not sure my eyes will be up to the challenge.
