Hi everyone I have just purchased this kit in Cranfield but have never built the a Tiger before, always been a AC or ship man, any opinions on the kit good or bad appreciated , any add on bits available, I did not have time to look in the box as it is hopefully by now on its way from the USA, bought while on holiday last week, any comments advice very welcome.
Thanks the Armour virgin

As far as opinions about this kit go, its a good’un. No extra detailing is really needed, especially as it already comes with an interior. Its got lots and lots of bits to keep you happy for a long time…
Hey Nick, check out this thread on this message board –

The modeler is doing a very handsome job on a Tiger I of Das Reich for the Kursk battles. It’s so good looking I’m tempted to put all my other half-built models aside and half-build this one! (Just kidding.)
Its a good kit, the interior is not 100% correct, but considering the price its good enough…well for me atleast. If you want some extra details you could buy a PE set from Aber or Eduard, with some new side skirts and tool clamps.
I’ve heard that it’s a very nice kit, and the price isn’t too bad. I’m still waiting to get mine. Let us know how yours goes.
I’ve got the Early version, but I haven’t started it yet. The interior is supposed to be a little more accurate for that version than for the mid version. Missing Links has an article on each of the models. Below are the links for the articles. I hope you enjoy your kit. Let us know how it’s going. Welcome to the dark side!!

Eduard has bits for it like PE sets for the interior and exterior
it looks good but i dont like the engine on it but for £25 i cant go wrong
Thanks for the replies everyone I have looked at the thread thanks Larry Kath told me to leave it in the box until I know what I am doing!!!.. she may have a point!.
No the thing is going to get started I like a challenge… so thats 1 U Boat 1 F6F 1 B29 1Helldiver and now one Tiger one the go… Am I normal or do people work on a number of kits at anytime I sometimes get frustrated as to when things don’t go as planned and rather than abandon a project I find its better for my sanity and Kaths patience to open another box, takes my mind off mini disasters, comments welcome please thanks for your advice.
Nick.
just dont put wings on the tiger or the U boat[:D]
I thought about the deck mounted 88 for the B29!
Or a helldiver with tiger tracks…
Great for getting through turbulence!
I just purchased the same kit 3 weeks ago. I will be building it some time this summer. Thanks for the links with the info on it.
