Academy StarCraft Figures

Text I am wondering if Academy is still producing their StarCraft figures, and if they are going to add more figures to the line. If they are not is there anyone who has some that I can buy?

[#welcome] to the FSM forum.
I wasn’t aware that there were any figures of StarCraft produced by anyone. Are these character figures, or were there any vehicles or anything else produced?

Academy did produce some StarCraft kits. I know there was a hydralisk and firebat kit and I think there may have been others. I don’t know if they are still making them but I know you can find them on ebay at a reasonable price.

Thanks for getting me the info so fast guys. And thanks for the welcome too.

I got a hydralisk pretty recently from an online retailer. It’s a nice little kit. Why do you think they aren’t producing them any more?

(I don’t play the computer game. I’m considering using it for Warhammer 40k as a Tyranid monster. [:)])

I’ve got the Terran Marine. The sprue says Terran Marine, Medic, Firebat 1/30 scale on it. I’m smart enough to figure out what the medic is and I assume the Firebat is perhaps a flamethrower trooper of some type?

The local shop also has the Hydralisk creature. I don’t know anything about the game the kits come from, but the Marine looked rather cool so I bought him.

The Terran Marine comes with markings for Normal Soldier 1 (has red/black trim and WAR PIG decals).

Normal Soldier 2 has gray/dark gray trim and BIG LOAD decals.

The third option is First Lieutenant James McMasters with skull head markings.

Several optional parts are a helmet with face plate closed and one with face plate open and a man’s head inside. The other optional part is an open right hand or a right hand gripping a big rifle.

The kits are made by Academy. Has anyone seen the Firebat or Medic kits?

Academy made 2 kits that I know of. The Hydrolisk Zerg, and the Terian Marine. They announced the medic and the firebat (flamethrower).

I had wanted to do a diorama of a meeting between a Terrian patrol ( 8 marines, 2 medics and 2 firebats) and 2 Hydrolisks at the point where they first became aware of each other. In the game such a meeting would result in 8 dead Terians and 2 dead Hydrolisks.

Anyway, they were avalable on Great Models Web Store and San Antonio Hobbies, but have disappeared from both. Now there is nolonger a link to them at the Academy website either.

I havent gone to e-Bay yet, but wading thru that site is tedious in the extreme. I found that out looking for an Airfix 1/48 Buccaneer awhile ago.

Thanks again.

I love the game and when I saw the hydralisk at the model shop I had to get it. I’ll also be looking for the marine. Does anyone know if anyone makes the Siege Tank or the Goliath?

Starcraft is one of the best coumputer games ever made [:)]

I think you can get the figures from www.greatmodels.com

Yeah, that’s one great game with a good story.
I thought the figures were plastic toys already assembled. Now I want the both.

Does anyone have finished pictures of the Zerg? It looks pretty cool

Well, I can see why you resurrected this long-dead thread in order to share that vital information with us. [(-D]

Acadomy has just releted a new unite.

I used a Starcraft Terran Marine in a scene with a Gundam:
