It looks line there are going to be more Phantoms following this. Looks as if there are multiple nose bulges for the C/D and J.
Or maybe the nose is a separate piece so that the aftermarket resin nose is easier to affix…

The sprue breakdowns look pretty nice in most areas. I do like how they molded the main fuselage and the rear portion between the burners. No pesky seams in those places.
It looks very similar to the parts breakdown of the Tamiya 1/32 offerings. I’m no expert but I’ve seen mention on other forums that it sure looks like there are parts on the trees to suggest more variants may be down the road. I hope this is the case. C’s & D’s, J’s & N’s. I feel a tingle in my legs!!

I hope that they provide 2 of those sprues! Otherwise you are only getting two of each missile type: 2x AIM-9B, 2 x AIM-9D, 2 x AIM-9E, 2 x AIM-9J, 2 x AIM-9L/M

Yup, so no matter which version of AIM-9 you choose, if they provide two sprues for a total of four of each type of Sidewinder, you will get the equivalent of a Hasegawa Air to Air Weapons set of Sidewinders in one kit. Lots of spares for other builds. Sweet!
I was looking at the sprues and I saw another nose beside the nose with a hole underneath. What would that be for?
I am guessing for an upcoming F-4J… There look to be parts for later model Phantom options if they provide a set of bulged upper wings… It looks real tempting to me now.
even that “F-4J nose” appears to provide options, it is slotted, just like the “B” nose is,if that means there is an optional part for that slot, the parts choice could be between a block-off piece and the “J/S” antenna part
If that is the case, that same nose would work for F-4J/S, the F-4J(UK), some of the F-4C/D (many were photographed without any IR sensor, in USAF service and F-4D for Iran), and the F-4K/M (those would only be done with some serious fuselage work and etc)
it surely does look like a large range of choices is in the plans though,there are the right partial bits on there to imply all the F-4B possiblities, the F-4N, the C, and the many D possiblities (you can see that one of the IR is the Herpes Pod),work from that J/S hint and it appears they may be out to release the entire Short Nose series of Phantoms (with or without the K/M)
That’s what it looks like to me, Rex. I hope they follow up with a J and C/D. That would certainly be all the Phantom I’d need to be happy the next few years. There are so many marking options. Already plan to do a Vf-111 and VF-114.
Don’t forget the Jolly Rogers when that J comes out, Prof!

well, okay, I will concede that there have been a LOT of F-4Bs from the JR already, in all scales
maybe a J with AE tail codes would be a pleasant change
there is going to be an explosion of 1/48 Phantom decals soon,it already started with a few sheets, but, I hope you get tons of sheets in that scale,one decal maker promised me that he would get to “my scale” when 1/48 does well,so, I am firmly in the “go and buy the 1/48 decals” camp
It seems like there are already a ton of 48 decals for Phantoms out there. Sprue Brothers has a separate category for them. Ironically, many of them seem to be for /B’s even though the Hasegwa kit is really hard to come by.
My dads nickname for my mom was Aardvark. I remember him having a Phantom from VF-114, so that’s why I want to do one of those. The Sundowners is by far the coolest hi-vis scheme. I think the Jolly Rogers are way overdone. Though, I’ve not seen as many F-4s as I have Tomcats and Hornets. I still like it though, I’ll probably use them on my F-14 that I’ve been hinting at for Christmas for the past couple of months. Lol
I’m also keen to the Marine phantom with the bright blue tail with stars…the squadron escapes me at the moment.

Thanks Glenn. That defiantly is it. I was looking at decals online last night and found it. One of my 1/32 Tamiya Phantoms had those markings which I intended to do.

When you get to the point of building that Warlords Phantom, there is a discussion of what color matches up with the decal colors for the Tamiya kit decals
that is one of those cases where what matches the decals is more important than what matches any FS chip,I have to use a different blue than the Tamiya decals when I do my old Microscale build, the colors are just slightly different on the MS printing
