When I first got into armor a few months ago, someone had suggested looking into an Ontos because I was looking for something with guns - lots and lots of guns, LOL. But the only available one was from the 60’s and impossible to find.
Academy’s new tooling is being released this month. Now, half of my armor is anti-aircraft (gepard, shilka) which keeps all my aircraft in line (lest they get out of hand when I’m not home - like Toy Story). But now I need something to take caare of all the tanks - and what better way than a tank killer?.
For now, I’ll be adding to my wishlist as my stash is already too big (4 unbuilt kits, plus one on the bench). Once I start the last kit (1/48 EA-6A Intruder), I’ll definitely be ordering the Ontos.
Just wondering if I could expect to see some build ups from the fine craftsmen of FSM.
Yes, I have one already. The old Renwal one was one of my favorite vehicles when I was a kid. One of my friends’ older brother had one and I always wanted one. I bought the Revell one in the early 80s when they reissued the Renwal kit. I still have that kit and a partially assembled Renwal kit that was given to me in 2001.
I’d pick up one, but when am I going to build it - nobody knows. But when I do, it’s going to be a WIP here. Wonder when am I gonna see the Ontos in my LHS. In Poland. Have a nice day
I have alredy picked one up and it will be next up for me after I finish the current build. Doing my research now on the Ontos. I am usaully doing research for the next build while you see me working on the current build.
