The article (Sep '08, pg 74) traces the lineage of ground attack a/c from WW II through today’s conflicts in Irag and Afganistan. From Stuckas to the AC-130U; but left out the AC-119K, “Stinger”! Old and slow and only hanging out the ass end either dropping flares or hosing down some banana tress, they were there![bow]
