is the camo soft edged or hard edged? on the tamiya painting diagram, it shows hard and crisp, but on the models that I see, they are soft edged looking. Is this because of the overall sand colored mist coat that follows?
thanks a bunch in advance

Some areas are hard and others are soft. The tank is painted by a robotic system at the factory and repainted by humans once it is fielded. You can see how it looks from this photo, some areas look more defined than others.

A little off topic, but wow will it be nice when they are all painted that color again instead of desert tan.
When I was at Knox in '82, the early M1s were a sort of desert tan sort of color, the first ones to roll out for training. They were the same monocolor as the M60A1s, M60A3s and the A5s. I also prefer the Euro 1 camo colors, but then again, we ain’t exactly in the wooded hills these days. Maybe that’s a good thing.
