The Gundam/Mecha subcategory is for scale models of big giant robots piloted by people. Think anime like Macross, Robotech, Gurren Lagann, Evangelion, God Mars, and Gundam, or games like Battletech, Titanfall, and Armored Core. If you aren’t sure if it fits in this category, then default to Sci-fi.
