Abandoned station

I present to you a preliminary diorama called ‘Abandoned Station.’ For now, I’ve only been test-fitting the models — they’re not glued yet. In the coming days I’ll be finishing it; I still need to level the ground beneath them so they don’t look like they’re floating in the air. I built the station using computer parts from a friend who has plenty of them, as he runs an electronics repair shop. After finishing the build, I’ll work on the photos — I want it to look as realistic as possible.

That looks fantastic! The lunar surface is perfectly textured and colored, the electronic components was an inspired choice for the “station.” Excellent work all the way around!

Very creative and well done. Looking forward to seeing it progress. Any idea what scale it would be? Also, any pictures with something to indicate its actual size?

Looking good. Those electronic parts look like a good sale for this project.

It is made on a floor tile measuring 33 cm × 33 cm.

This looks like something from a sci-fi film where they show a moon base. Very cool indeed!

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe one of the miniature Eagles from the Alpha Moonbase kit?

It kinda reminds me of some of the bases in the game Battlezone.

Wow, never seen anything like that. Looks amazing. Did you sculpt that crater by hand? It looks quite realistic.

Perhaps set up on a rack or support structure, and with parts removed. (Maybe the nose cut off, and the fuselage drilled out so it appears it was scavenged for spare parts. It’s the one craft they left behind them when they departed.)

Also, a row of rovers or transport vehicles, that also were left behind. Again, maybe some on supports with wheels or treads removed, because they were cannibalized to support the base operation, until it was finally closed.
