This is my latest build of the 1970 AAR Cuda. It’s being built factory stock, or as close as I can possibly get it. I still have much work to do on it but, here’s some pics of what I have so far. I’ll be glad to answer any questions you may have ans constructive criticism is always welcome. Hope ya like it.
Nice looking 'Cuda, I totaly love that color. Just glanced at a Lancia Stratos in almost the same hue and they look stunning both of them. I especially like the rims, good work on them…oh… all of it looks nice and clean. Keep us updated on the progress.
Cheers!
Niclas
Looking good is that the monogram kit or the conversion. Her is a pair i built using the MPB conversion set
Been a pleasure watching this one come together so far. Look forward to seeing it first hand.
Thanks guys!
mkhoot, it’s the revell kit. The kit has many problems as I’m sure you are aware of. Your cars look great! I may do a race version of it using the conversion, after this one is complete.
Loking really nice. How about trying a black wash around the wheel nuts, it would really make them stand out.
Nice work so far!
The only car I like more than an AAR Cuda is a Hemi Cuda!
miarob it looks good.
joe
Thanks again guys!!
Jhulk, if I can find the right parts, a Hemi Cuda will be done. The 70 Hemi Cuda is my favorite car too.
nicholma, thanks for the tip. I have used some washes on this build(thanks to Chris
(lizardqing)) but, I didn’t wash around the lugnuts. I will try that.
Here’s one more decent shot of the car with the hood.
'Cuda’s are very cool !!! Thanks for sharing … your build-up is looking very nice … [8D]
Like, wow, man. That’s cool!
Mkhoot,
The AAR looks great, but if you don’t mind me asking…where can I get a Trans-AM Cuda like that? The blue one is just flat freakin’ awesome!!
Good job, looks like you are making a silk purse out of a sows ear!
Lee
Thanks guys!
Lee, I know what ya mean. This kit has so many problems, I’d hate to have to list them all. But, I tried as best I could with what I have.
Here’s a couple more shots of the completed body.
Good job, you have a extra one lying around you want to sell?
Lee
A68transamMustang I built it using the mongram hemi cuda kit the MPB conversion scratchbuilt interior and rollcage Fred Cady decals and a monogram challeger T/A for chassis and engine. I enjoy doing trans am cars here’s a few others i’ve done
Wow! Those are all beautiful, but I am really diggin’ that Javelin!
Excellent work!
Just all sorts of great work being shown in this thread
[:O][wow][wow][censored][:O][:O] Outstanding work!! …I am really envious… Oooooh man so much eye candy I might make myself sick to my stomach!!..beautiful work man.
Awesome T/A cars, mkhoot!!
Lee, this is the only kit of the AAR Cuda I have. In fact, I wish I had another because I managed to get a crack in the windshield. I have tried to modify one from the 70 Challenger kit but, it’s not quite right.
