AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Does anyone have or know where I can lay my hands on a translation of the instructions for a finemolds tie fighter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I took a quick look at Hobby Link Japan (www.hlj.com). They are the ones who did the English X-Wing instructions. They did not have English instructions for the TIE, but if you use the X-Wing instructions as a transaction guide, you me be able to get by.

thanks Rob [:D]

You could try paging J-Hulk on those forums. He might be able to help, were you able to give him a copy of the instruction sheet (scan?)…

J-Hulk here!
Sure, get me the sheet, and I’ll give it a quick translation!

I haven’t looked at Hobby Link, but if the japanese instructions are online then use
http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/tr to translate it.

Those translation programs are always good for a laugh! We tried several such programs when I worked for a translation company here, and they always brought the house down!
English to Japanese isn’t so bad, but I’ve yet to see a decent Japanese to English program.
Might be good enough to translate the instructions, though.
Give it a shot!

I’ll tell you what’s great fun with translation programs. Take some text in any language, then translate it back and forth between the language and English. The text drifts further and further from the original, and it gets funnier and funnier as it goes really. Give it a shot some time, I know it sounds like geek humor but it really is funny.

madda

Yeah, that is fun!

We’d be howling, and the boss would come over to see what the heck was so funny.
Then he’d be howling, too!
