Any one have any experience building an A340? I building the revell 1/144 in Cathay Pacific livery. I found a set of these decals. Any pointers for filling in the windows, painting the engines, and any building tips? Thanks.

Nice kit, isn’t it? My usual method of filling in the windows is to put a thick strip of plastic card inside the fuselage halve, then fill in the holes with putty. I’d use epoxy putty such as Milliput, if you can, because it does not attack the plastic and any excedent can easily be removed with a rag, toothpicks (in the recessed lines) and some water, the smoothed over with more water. Normally, with this technique, there’s no sanding required at all.

Well I bought some resin to fill in the windows. But first I’m making a mold of parts of the fuselage sections. I would like to convert the 300 model into a 600 model. Any idea on how to do that? I know that I have to insert a section or two of cockpit, but how much to make it into a 600? Where do I cut/insert?

Nice idea. I’m not too sure about how much more , and where, you need to add to the existing fuselage, but I’ll look it up for you.
