A1 Skyraider

Not a plastic model, stick and tissue constuction, it flies very well, although some tweaking is in order.
30" wing span, weight is right at 3 oz, which is light enough for good flights. It is a FreeFlight model, so no radios. Careful adjustments needed to produce good flights!

I have just gotten back into plastic models, and was working on this when I signed up here.

Colors added by airbrush, and careful hand painting-graphics by Callie Graphics.

i am still struggling to post a picture! Stand by!

Looks good !

Looks great. Whose kit is that?

Dohrmc, this looks awesome! Great job on the S.E.A. paint scheme. The Skyraider is my favorite post-WWII aircraft!

The kit is by Mike Midkiff and is excellent. i subbed some wood in the interest of lightness.

I have also built his Junkers D1, and it is an excellent flier. His web site is Ozark Model Aviation. All kits are FreeFlight. Mike is an excellent builder and flier.

I should post a picture of the Junkers, it’s very detailed compared to the Skyraider, which was built to compete in mass launch events.

Some micro servos and an electric motor and that skyraider would be a hoot to fly and I bet would fly long on a small charge.

Looks great, especially the wings!
