leemitcheltree-That is the exact reason I started this build, I am glad another sees my exact point.

roadkill_275-Hey thats all right, I kinda figured that some people coul not join because of all the builds going on, figured Id put the idea out there to see if it could work or not.

miduppergunner-The end date would be about next year, As I would contribute, 4 1/48 B-29s to the build and a C-47 (For now)and because of the complexity of such a subject I figure about 8-9 months minimum would be needed[:D]

Very interesting concept for a GB!! Thanks for the idea! I hope that I might be able to contribute, as I’ve been thinking of a way to not throw away an old 1/72 Revell B-17. [:)]

Play nice!!! Please don’t start arguing semantics. Interesting idea-I have seen several underwater wreck dioramas of zeroes-no worries, just seaweed and rust. Wish I knew the links.

Hmmm… I’ve got an OH-6 that needs to be crashed, since the rotors, etc. got squished by my feline compadres. Perhaps I’ll get in on this one too!

Hmm I am going battel dammuge
Lets see will be most definitly wwduexe. Been eye balling another Monovelle B-17G this time with Fliiiitepaffs (flightpath) etched for it.
Maybe we can get Wolf to open up is reference coffers to get us some pics of delapitated or battel dammuged planes.

I say we should start gaining reference material now so the start of the build gets rolling. Maybe someone(or all of us)should start a post in the reference section to get this going.

I myself have about ten books on damaged, abandoned, crashed, and forgotten aircraft, in my library so referance material for me is no problem, if anyone needs some good reference sourcres I can post some links to some good sites I know of. I wish I could scan some photos of my books for you guys too but I dont know how to get them from the scanner to the forums so sorry.

woodbeck3-Are you talking about the ETO referance section or is there one here?

V A awesome. i may take you up on that. got some others in mind that take precident. i am thinking of a fighter on the deck at hickham or ewa. i want something that will be eyecatching and breathtaking at the same time.

I am the other “moderator” I guess. I have been out of the loop so far but I am anxious for this to get going. I am going to try building a P-61 the deconstructed way. LOL anyway I strongly encourage anyone who thinks that their skills are not up to par to try this out. I am in the exact same boat. Also Vintage has kindly offered up his help with the build. If anyone has seen his Lady Be Good it is the inspiration behind this. So come on everybody pitch in this will be great fun and a learning experience. I plan to post this in the armor forum soon unless Vintage gets there before me. So Tuesday I am off to buy my P-61.
