Anyone remember this kit, or the actual vehicle? I do…don’t know if I should admit it, but I built this kit back in the day (I was around 7-8 at the time).

HaHaHaHa, i remember doing that kit way back when jet’s were still a relativly new thing, got frustrated with it, as i was around six, put a bottle rocket on it and LAUNCHED it across the back yard, well the dog chased it, me expecting the thing to explode into a thousand piece’s freaked out when the mutt got next to it. No explosion no boom, just a weak little fizzle, the dog got it and took off, never saw it again, guess the dog didn’t like it either.
I saw that featured in a Wings or Airpower a while back and they even mentioned the kit(with pics), I didn’t think any were around as I have never seen it on Ebay before. I see only 2 bids and already $102… Thats way out of my budget…Oh well not in my scale anyway…Walks away rationalizing not bidding on holy grail…Good Hunting, G.W.
Been there, done that, got the spanking! My kit was the old Revell Drakken, and I stuffed a lady finger firecracker up the tailpipe and put a liberal dose of lighter fluid in the cockpit to insure great pyrotechics! I lit the fuse and ran it out my mother’s clothesline…you can imagine the results (and attendant damage to the clothesline!). IIRC, I couldn’t sit for a week! Those were the days…sigh!

Update - the damn thing went for over $200 and it wasn’t even a complete kit!!! Wish I had one lying around - it’d be for sale right quick!

There is an Aerocar for sale on e-bay…the real thing. The price is just $3.5 million.
