Hey guys.
I’ve recently re-discovered the fun of building the revell snap tite airplanes (the 1/72 ones that were predominantly desktop models). I like to detail them, you know, nothing special, but paint the tires, canopy frames, exhaust nozzles, and maybe attack it with flat coat… Right now, I have the Blue Angels F/A-18, the new F-14, the new A-10, the AH-64. The local shop has the F-117, I’m gonna get it when I get paid. I can’t find the SR-71, but I know they still make it so I can order it from the manufacturer. I’m looking for help from someone who better remembers the older kits, the ones they don’t make anymore perhaps. Among the ones I’m looking for specifically are the F-14 that was black, the F-15 ( I think it may have been a different scale than 1/72) The B-2, and if memory serves, there was an F-4 in there somewhere. I found the F-15 and F-14 on Ebay, but I would really like to have the B-2. And, I can’t find the F-4 at all, but I’m pretty sure there was one, because I remember giving my friend one for his birthday when I was like… 6. Seeing as that was 15 or so years ago, my memory is rusty.
Basically, anything between 1990 and 2003 is fair game.
What I’m not looking for are the new, 1/100 scale easy build ones that are pre-painted, any non-military kits (star wars, space shuttle, cars, etc)
Also, if you remember one I haven’t listed here, let me know. I’m basically trying to get my hands on the ones I built as a kid. Anyone who lifts a finger to help me recapture my earliest modeling experiences is my hero. Thanks!
