A must see website, especially for newbie modelers, like me, on airbrushing..

Among other things to see at this site, these how-to videos are just what I needed. I guess I’m a visual person and have to see things done to really, really get an idea of how to do something. I found this looking for preshading techniques. It gives an excellent video on preshading. I am doing a Revell-Monogram P-47D Razorback that has raised panel lines. I wanted to do some preshading since a wash probably wouldn’t work well. I had an idea of how to do it, but the video on preshading helped explain it very well.

Great link. Thanks for sharing it with us Dave.

Thanks for the link. I’ll definately be using the vids on it.

That is a good site and I watched the pre-shading video you mentioned.

That guy sure holds his airbrush funny though doesn’t he? [:D]
It looks like he is holding a butcher knife. [(-D]

Yeah, I thought I was maybe holding my airbrush wrong after watching him, lol.

Cool, added to my favorites list. cheers for sharing. Greg

Couple of questions for those of you that know: How long should you wait after preshading before applying the base coat? Also, it seemed in the preshading video he continued to use a fine tip. Do any of you always use a fine tip? Or do you change to a medium or greater tip for other work? Could any of you explain what your preferences are? Thanks.

It’s a very helpful site. Thanks for sharing Dave.[:)]

Great site, very helpful for a newbie like myself…

Only, I hate windows media player. Being an Apple fanatic I had to say that, didn’t I? [:D]
