Can you identify this aircraft?

It’s something that has been in my stash for a little while now and I am preparing a review of the kit. It’s 1/48 resin/vac/pe/wm, the aircraft was conceived in 1934, first flown in 1936, production began in 1937 and it was accepted into service in 1939 … what is it?
[:D]
Looks like a Lockheed L-10 Electra to me
Could it be a Do 17? At first I thougt it was a Bf 110, but then I noticed the radials.
It’s one of those French built fighter’s
Rob.
Looks like a Potez 63 or 631 to me. JMGT or maybe POMK?
Fade to Black…
Think it is a Potez but not sure which model - Blackwolf probably has it right
It is a Potez 63 series, the most popular production model - the 63/11 with the Gnome-Rhone radials by Socrate JMGT. Good job Black Wolf. It was often mistaken for a 110 and prior to the German occupation of France it suffered many losses from friendly fire due to that resemblance.
should be an excellent subject for you swanny. i look forward to the progress pics.

I actually guessed it might be a Potez, but now the answer is out, no one would ever believe me…(sigh) [(-D]
I can be honest and say my guess would have been wrong… I was thinking a mosquito. Well… I was till I looked at the twin tail. Then I got the dear in the headlights look ![]()
If I remember well, Saint Exupéry flew this one during Bataille de France as he was a reco pilot. I read it in “Pilote de guerre” but I 'll check it to be sure. As for models, while Fonderies Miniatures is on the edge as for quality and price ( the new Alizé sells here around 70 Euros and even fans think it is not worth the price ) Jean Michel Goutte Tocquet seems to have a constant quality of production. There are now a number of French craftsmen; take a look at Contact Résine for instance as it is very neat, though a bit pricey. They are preparing a 1/48 Hien which seems to be a hit .
Now I feel stupid. It was the shape of the wings and that long thin fuselage that threw me off, that and the lack of any glazing. Bring on the next quiz!
wow…there are some awesomely smart fellers here…whewwwwwwww
i had some guesses but, not a one that it turned out to be…
[8]i like easy quizezzzzzzzzzzz…
Thank you, Torio. St. Ex is one of my literary idols and, of course, greatest aviation writer who ever lived. I always tried to picture what he would have been piloting in “Flight to Arras” and in the book, though he talks about the recce plane and his crew constantly, he never hints at the type. Now I know. Oh, and I would have really embarrassed myself because I took one look at tail and wing shape and said Ju-86. Glad I got here late.
