A lil assistance with Tamiya USA

Greetings all!
In short, I need to order the whole exhaust assembly for the 1/35th Panzerkampwagen I Ausf.B(item 35388).
I had it in a small open topped container awaiting some primer/paint.
Anywho, it must have grown legs and walked off lol Ssoo.. I reached out to Tamiya USA via their website(contact us) option and gave details n such.
That’s been almost a week and so far nothing so I decided to call their Customer Support Dept(1-800-826-4922).
Granted where I live, they are three hours behind so I took that into consideration.
I called at various times throughout the day for the last three days and no answer, not even a voice mail option. You get a prompt saying someone with be with you shortly and that’s it.
I know Mr Tamiya passed away recently but you’d think someone would be there.
Anywho, is there another contract number/email that I am over looking?
Thank you in advance
Mike

I’ve had great support - some things take time to find/stock. Here’s the email I’ve used: usa_support@tamiya.com

I had the same experience when I tried calling them. So, I emailed them. I included the kit number, part number and the sprue letter. It took a few weeks, but I received the entire sprue in the mail, free of charge. The never got back to me via email, they just shipped the item. Maybe you didn’t give them enough info, or maybe the parts are in the mail. Either way, I think you’ll be taken care of eventually.

Hi Cary,
I emailed them all the info minus my mailing address.
With that being said, I just updated my reply with my mailing address.
Its funny, I’ve never had to use their physical email addy as their site contact form and support phone service always were a help.
I know things have changed in the last few years so hopefully I’ll hear back from them at some point!
Thank you for your feedback and Happy Modeling,
Mike

I know for a fact that their office was empty during COVID, maybe they stopped renting their office space ?
I’ve had excellent customer service from them so hopefully you’ll be taken care of.

Sadly after Covid, a lot of businesses that rented/leased have gone to remote working.
With that being said, their office is still functioning and I emailed them directly and Gary said that the parts will be sent out soon!
Same here, I’ve always had great customer service as well either it be phone, or their website contact form.
Not sure what changed but going forward, I’ll be emailing them directly.
Happy Modeling,
Mike
