very ice especialy for your first if i can add 1 comment i would suggest a coat of dullcote to help flatten the finsh.
but all in all its a damn nice lookin kit!
great work!
what scale is it?
Sweet! I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for that AC- and a soft spot in my head for the Monogram kit- it’s on my short list!
its 1/48 monogram kit i was going to dull coat it
the build is for my dad who was a crew member on A26s in Korea he said they had one thta they even polished so i think im gong to leave it like that dont know yet after th edecals ill decide

Certainly is looking good. I didn’t see any mistakes.
The A-26 looks great. Should look nice when the decals are all odne. Keep us posted.
The camo on the work bench is pretty good too.[;)]
I kinda like the glossy coat also.
I know back in the day the planes were dirtier and duller, but most airshow warbirds are glossy as can be, including the A-26 I’ve seen. (Spirit of Waco…IIRC)[?]
I think he’s still got the decals to apply, thus the gloss coat at the moment…
…but looking good so far.
Very nice Invader!!![^]
Looks good from here

Very, very nice, especialy for a first go round. If I may make a suggestion, rather than a dull coat final coat, consider a semi-gloss finish except for the props which should be flat.
workbench camo is really important to master[:D]
I have deciced to leave it gloss i cant dull it it looks to nice maybe even a satin finish i am going to dull coat the props
i have learned that gloss paint takes forever to dry so im going to leave it to sit another 48hrs then decal it im going to cut away alot of the decal film i dont want to chance it clouding over even with decal set
sgtkopp - outstanding looking build!!! Looks very clean!
You mentioned decal set, are you using the Testors or MM branded ones? if so I recommend Microset and Microsol… they can make even those thick vinyl Tamiya decals sit down tight into panel lines and look like part of the paint. I’ve only had one set of decals foil me using those and the set was about 26 yrs old so I can’t blame them!
All in all an awesome build and I would love to see pics when you are finished!!!
Congratulations…Very nice Job, One recomendation; in my original decals were traslucent so the red walkways lost his brigthness so try aftermarket! and I hope to see your Invader finished…I’ll wait.
Looks good to me nice clean build.
I like it ,Nice job!! I think i also would recomend the semi gloss coat. But either way it looks great.
good lookin bird. i’m sure she’ll be awesome when you’re done
thx guys ill keep you up to date

Keep the gloss coat until you apply the decals, and then a flat coat to finish off should have her looking perfect. I’m doing a B-26 right now so seeing yours hits close to home. I hope mine looks as nice when I get to that stage.
i have the monogram B-26 kit also i have started it but have not been able to fully assemble it
