Here is my new 1/24 Seville.
Very nice build! That is one very bizarre car. I don’t know what Mitchell was thinking of when he designed that car. This is also the car that used an ill-fated diesel engine. Also, it used the V8-6-4 variable displacement engine.
I like it. Didnt know it had diesel but do remember the 8-6-4. I think my dad had a Brougham model w/ that 8/6/4/ too… I like the paint job - nice! And i thought painting hull lines was tough - this looks a little tricky too. Good work.
A fine replica of an unusual looking automobile. Looks like the designer was going for the 30’s look in the back section, there! Lincoln Continental, and Chrysler Imperial had a similar design along that same time period. Well done on this one, sir!!
Regarding the diesel. GM tried to make a diesel engine on the cheap by converting the Oldsmobile 350 cu. in. gas engine into a diesel. The result was broken crankshafts, connecting rods and head bolts.
…as i remember this was a first Caddy offered a diesel engine, as a standard. Thanks
Hi Guy!
I like the Caddy! I always felt they should’ve added at least a Imperial False wheel in the trunk lid. The original looked kind of plain when viewed from behind. It looks like they went to break and forgot to add that feature to the trunk Lid.
The engine was weird too. not just the 8-6-4, But also that sick application of an Olds engine to base the diesel on!
Very nice!
Hi Grzegorz!
Well, is that the Diesel version? LOL!LOL! It looks great too!
