I can’t find any info on this acft, but I think they are short range 747s built for Japanese inter-island transport. Can this acft pass for a domestic (U.S.) -100 or -200, 747? What are the differences between the SR and the -100/-200? I need several -100/-200s and haven’t been able to find any. If they are close I will get the SR I found and build it as a -200.
Thanks,
Mike
Do you mean the 747-SP? It is a short version of the 747-100 aircraft. The SP was bought by several US Airliners such as American and TWA.
Here are details on it.
Boeing 747-SP
No. I am familiar with the SP. It is a shortened version of the 747, the only one that is not 231’ long. The SR looks just like a -200. I just don’t know if it would pass for a -200 externally, maybe it is just an internal difference that makes it warrant a different designation. I would like to know before I buy one. There is an SR listed on Ebay. I have seen the SR before, I just can’t find any info on it. Thanks for the reply.
In the document link that I had in my first post, they go into details about the 747-100B SR in section 2.1.1.
Thanks for the links. Looks like the SR is a variant of the -100. I will get the one I found and see how it works out.
