I’ve got a friend hunting for a '68 Chevy kit or diecast in any scale. He has a full size one and wants a model of it. He finds plenty of 67’s but no 68’s. I thought I’d ask here for him and see if you guys could point me in the right direction.
Cassi, I just got a copy of the Hobby Surplus catalog and there is one kit listed a 1968 CamaroZ28 (ERT 38428) Haven’t checked the site yet. It’s 1/25 www.HobbySurplus.com
I don’t think that’s it but I’m not really a car person. I was told it was the same as the '67 model (whatever it is) except for the horseshoe tail lights. It didn’t even occur to me to ask the actual model. [censored] Probably a good thing that at 22 I’ve never learned to drive.
Well Ed, for one, students ride the public bus free. The buses also have those nice signal interupters so they don’t get stuck at red lights like cars do. Plus, I have feet. I covered 2 blocks in a couple minutes last night to catch my bus on time.
If that is the model with that was the same in '68 as it was in '67 except the tail lights then that is it. See I didn’t need to know. I knew somebody here would. If they’re about the same except for that can’t the AMT '67 be modified?
Well it is the Impala SS. I just got an Email back from his wife. I just got thrown because he’d mentioned looking at a diecast '67 and not seeing any difference til he got to the back.
The body itself is the same, the front end is pretty darn close, it’s the rear that is noticably different. Could always build the '67 and back it into the display cabinet. [:D]
