This is my '60 Chevy Fleetside Pickup painted with Tamiya TS-10 French Blue and Tamiya TS-26 Pure White. This is my version of the '62 Chevy Pickup from HGTV’s Home Town.
Sweet!
Nice Chevy. [Y]
I love old pick me ups. Not familiar with the 60 Chevy, sort of an odd-looking beastie. I really like it. The cab roof or whatever you call it has funny lines, adding lots of character.
May I ask whats up with the white around the headlights and on the front bumper?
That model would look good on anyone’s shelf.
Excellent work, Mike. I like it a lot.

Nice build Mike! [Y]

Stay Safe.
I’m sure Ben and Erin would love it
Thank you guys!
The white grille and front bumper is from a model lower than the Apache. Ben Napier’s truck has the white grille and front bumper and is not an Apache since that model ended in 1961 and his is a 1962. I used a 1960 Chevy Fleetside Apache to create Ben’s truck.
Fantastic! Looks like the pickup that my junior high social studies teacher drove, but his was a two tone green scheme (I think!)
Thanks for 'splaining, Mike.
Cool to see the original. Makes me appreciate what you did with the model even more.
Thank you dhenning and Greg!
My pleasure Greg!
Excellent!!
We had several 1960 GMC and Chevrolet pickups and 2 1/2 ton trucks with the V-6. I nearly ripped my little finger off getting out of one of the trucks, that door design was awful. Went away in the 64 models. I don’t remember any chrome but that was a long time ago.
Thank you John! I have taken some liberties building this truck and the changes are a few. I could have made a few more, especially in the truck bed. Ben’s truck has finished wood and flat black inside the box, and small block V8 and auto trans, plus new wheels.
Nice build Mike!
Thank you lewbud!
Man that looks great Mike!!! I like the fact that she’s got a six under the hood. Just dont see many builds with those.
Thanks, Joe! The actual truck has a small block and auto trans under the hood and while I do have a small block in the Revell '63 Impala, I decided to stick with the six.
