is it a good idea to use those army figures from walmart that you get for 5 bucks on dio’s?[2c]
If you like soft plastic blobs, they will do. The plastic army men are poorly detailed and are made of a plastic that does not paint well. I wouldn’t use them.
ok
However for those of us with young kids they work great as training figures. I coat the green army men with a flat spray paint, let em dry and then my eight year old can practice for hours.
yes, that’s what i’m doing but im a child myself(an 12 year old middleschooler) and I would say it’s looking pretty good. i’ll post them online for you as soon as I can find my photo shop CD or figure out how to post it
the injection marks(?) are really hard to sand off though[soapbox]
and the little stands that they are molded on are a little good for individual dio’s
if I cant find my photo shop CD how much to they sell for?
What scale are those standard size armymen anyway? they look like they’re close to 1/32.
BMC ones are 1/35 (Those are pretty good quality) and the ones form wal-mart are a bit smaller. I collect them and have about a regiment. The tanks and such are out of scale, BMC makes some in scale.
