Jerry, youre finish inside that tin can is superb… just top notch. Cant wait to see what scheme you go with.
Jeff
Thanks Matthew, Mucker, Alex, and Jeff.
Okay…you guys talked me into it. I originally was going to do the movie plane, then had doubts. Now I’ve decided to go ahead with it. I guess you could call it a what if build, but … what’s wrong with that? Anyhoo…the pre-shading is done, and I’ve used RLM 65 on the under surfaces, since most Luftwaffe aircraft were painted that way. (poetic license). I might even add the gelb wing tip treatment. This beast is using a lot of paint!
More to come.
cheers,
Jerry
Just a quick question guys as i’m a little confused with the few versions of this kit i’ve seen around on the web etc. I assume that the monogram and the revell kit both come from the same moulding but how is the pro modeller kit different ? Thanks …Peter.
Hey
I think you should go for the winter camo, it would make the whole thing much moe interesting and amazing then just a boring splinter scheme!
If your worried about blotching it up, try using this method:
Spray down the colours which are going to be the base colours [probably the splinter camo] then seal it with a clear enamel to protect it!
Then use an acrylic white and spray over the top, that way if you screw up you can easily clean of the acrylic without damaging the coat underneath !?!
I’ve used this method on most of my aircraft and it works superbly
PS What scale is the model?, as it looks superb great job!![:D][tup]
Coming right along, dragonfly !
Be careful adding the flaps. I added mine before painting the airframe, and they popped off a few times.
Looking forward to some paint !
Thanks Peter,Stuka, and Pix.
Stuka, This is the 1/48 pro-modeler kit.
Peter, I think the kit is one in the same…maybe better instructions.
Jerry
Thanks !!! and i hope your enjoying your build!..Peter.
Looks great so far. I have the Revell/Monogram Ju 52 on my shelf and seeing your pics is inspiring me to move it up to next on my build list. I too was thinking about doing the “…Eagles Dare” version but have a bunch of great photos from the Squadron “In Action” book and may go with one of those. So, I’ll be watching for more pics of your build on the forum.
